REMEMBER THIS DATE ...... THE 24TH. OCTOBER 2018  THE BATTLEGROUND

  ARUN DISTRICT COUNCIL OFFICES

The history of Pagham may be re-written in its darkest form when 15 Arun District Councillors vote on a decision about 3 developments that could change the character, fabric and makeup of our village and surrounding areas forever. Many events in Paghams history, the Great Wars, the Sea have never broken its spirit and resolve but Arun District Council are determined to crush any opposition that may still exist. They are the supreme masters at creating apathy amongst us all yet we should not be moved, only more determined to break them. The Nature Reserve is revered by hundreds of thousands of visitors (let alone us 'locals'), yet the Jewel in the Crown of a tarnished Arun district could be lost if the ecology moves on, driven away by housing developments and the desecration it causes.

Previous protest 25th. September 2017

Yet if this happens we only have us as residents to blame for failing to rise up against Arun and its single minded view of the world. We owe it to future generations to protect our village when we are no longer here, let our spirit fight on for them if nothing else. These 3 developments are only the beginning, maybe when potentially 3000 homes are built alongside Chalcraft Lane, the anger will be too little too late.

REMEMBER THESE 15 COUNCILLORS INCLUDING DAWN HALL WHO REPRESENTS PAGHAM MAY SEE REASON AND IGNORE THE WISHES OF ARUN PLANNING OFFICERS AND

DO THE RIGHT THING  ..........WE CAN ONLY HOPE

The following is the part of the letter to ADC that should give strength to residents hoping for a more positive outcome ....

LATE SEPTEMBER 2018

We have been informed by Nigel Munday of Pagham Ponies that the 'Hanbury' (Pagham Rd.) fields have been sown with Winter wheat so it looks like the Geese hopefully will be back this Winter with a vengeance and hungry too.

So our Brent Geese campaign will re-emerge and when we have first sightings will let everone know ..... and what to do.
